After completing the 50 hour online Blue Card Command training a successful student can attend the 6 day Train the Trainer session. This course provides an in depth understanding of the 8 Functions of Command as well as over 3 days of Command Simulations.
After successful completion the Blue Card Trainer will be able to certify those within their Fire Department who have completed the 50 hour online Blue Card course. Departments are encouraged to manage the Blue Card Command Certification program on their own. The curriculum, which is additional to the cost of the online course, lasts 6 full days and teaches instructors how to deliver the simulation training and evaluation to their students - at a fraction of the cost that it would take for them to develop their own training program. Instructors receive a packet that includes 20 command and tactical-level presentations, along with several DVD videos. Blue Card Trainers will be able to add their Department SOP/SOGS and Building Type pictures to the Blue Card content to make for a Department specific simulation experience.

The following video depicts a Command Simulation of Sector Operations Responding to the Incident Commander. Approximately 10-15 simulations are run each day as part of the Train the Trainer course.
